Great Testimonial from US Coast Guard Commander

Just a great comment / testimonial from one of our clients that I wanted to share: “As the end user of the products translated by Lanza Language, I am very pleased with their professionalism. I felt they were attentive and completely responsive throughout our contract. I would be honored to have them translate our material in the future.” – Mr. Eric May, Lieutenant Commander, US Coast Guard, Atlantic Area

Thank you Eric, WE would be honored.

Yellowstone National Park – Guide Book translation into 4 languages

Very proud to report that Lanza just got an interesting new job translating for America’s first National Park! Lanza will translate Yellowstone National Park’s 75 page Visitor’s Guide Book into Mandarin, Japanese, Portuguese and French. Yellowstone was established as America’s first National Park, in 1872, mainly because the majority of the world’s geysers are preserved there. Yellowstone is a mountain wildland, home to grizzly bears, wolves, and herds of bison and elk. The park is the core of one of the last, nearly intact, natural ecosystems in the Earth’s temperate zone.

DHS – Coast Guard contract award

It’s been a great month for Lanza, which is a relief after a somewhat slow (relaxing?) Summer. The most recent good news is that we were just informed that Lanza will be awarded the contract to translate the Department of Homeland Security – US Coast Guard’s International Port Security’s Objectives worldwide. This encompasses over 300,000 words (over 1000 pages) of Drills & Exercises, Port Engagement Strategy and Seminars translated into French, Indonesian, African Portuguese and Spanish. A tremendous honor to be serving DHS – USCG and supporting them in their (our) mission.

Exelis translations into Dari, Malayalam and German

We are excited to being work on a project for our valued client Exelis. Exelis (NYSE: XLS) announced in April that the new publicly traded military and government services company that will result from the spin-off will be named Vectrus. Lanza will be translating Vectrus’ Code of Conduct book into German, Dari, and Malayalam.

Malayalam is a visually beautiful language. Here is the text for “We act ethically and honestly”:

ഞങ്ങള് സത്യസന്ധമായും ധാര്മ്മികമായും പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു

Starting work with the United Nations

Today we finally got our first bit of work from the United Nations, it is such an honor. We are providing language support for UN-STL (Special Tribunal for Lebanon). Lanza Language translates documents for the STL from and into English and Arabic.

Happy Client – City of Boulder Public Works

Just wanted to share this amazing, unsolicited, direct quote from one of our clients, the City of Boulder Public Works Supervisor who said, “Thanks for all you do. I love working with you.  Thanks for always being on it and being so amazing. You’ve made my life much easier this year and, at a time when it was certainly about the busiest I may have ever been, I can’t thank you enough for giving me that room to breathe a little.” Can’t ask for a better testimonial than that! Thank you too! We’ve been translating various inserts for the City of Boulder, including Water / Flood Safety information for this Spring. It’s great to get to serve the community in which we live 🙂

Lanza helps Spyder comply with European Commission Standards translation

We are honored to be serving our newest client and fellow Boulder company, Spyder, producer of high tech sportswear since 1970. The European Economic Area (EEA) consists of the 28 EU Member States, and the EFTA countries. The EEA requires that products are assessed before being placed on the market and that they meet EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements. The CE marking is required for many products and will probably look familiar to most consumers. Lanza Language has begun working with Spyder to help translate their CE standards language that will go on their product hang-tags.

US Naval War College – Inter American War games

Lanza was awarded a contract with the US Naval War College located in Newport, Rhode Island. Lanza will provide a week of simultaneous Spanish <> English interpretation for the conclusion of the Inter American War Games event.

One of Newport, Rhode Island’s most enduring and prominent landmarks is the U.S. Naval War College (NWC) on Coaster Harbor Island in Narragansett Bay. The Naval War College’s missions today are developing strategic and operational leaders, helping the Chief of Naval Operations define the future Navy, strengthening maritime security cooperation and supporting combat readiness.

Since the first class met October 6, 1884, in an austere loft with nine students, more than 24,000 U.S. military and international officers, as well as hundreds of senior federal service civilian executives, have graduated from NWC.
