Daphne Biener
VP of Business Development
Daphne Biener came to Lanza in early 2004 with over ten years of professional experience in Business Development and Marketing. Graduating with a pie-in-the-sky ideal of working with non-profits to save the world, these first few well-intentioned but often dysfunctional companies helped her formulate her vision—that no company, commercial or otherwise, can realize their mission without a fiscally sound plan and steps in place to reach their established goals. A degree in public policy supplemented with courses from NYU’s business school helped solidify this idea. Working with Lanza Language was especially appealing to Daphne, who was drawn to the business model of a company with a mission and an eye for the bottom line.

Daphne graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, and earned a masters degree from the Wagner School of Public Service at NYU. Additional advanced coursework includes business, fundraising and creative writing.

Daphne enjoys sailing and swimming when she’s close to an ocean, and likes to be outdoors--hiking and camping as much as possible with her family. She lives in Colorado with her husband and two daughters.
